since i am seeing so much negativity about ml season 5 (which happens in every single season) i just wanted to spread some positivity and say that i've really been enjoying season 5!

taking ASIDE the release order (which, although it sucks, at this point we should be used to it) i truly think season 5 is really good and one of my fave seasons from the entire show

i am by no means saying it's perfect or praising the show blindly. For example, my main problem is the way the writers treat alya in CERTAIN episodes. Another thing would be Marinette's parents believing that Marinette actually stole those things in Adoration, like come on that was bullshit. The whole thing with Chloe, peeeersonally i don't really mind if i am being honest. I would have loveeed for her to redeem herself but hey i am kinda over it at this point and i LOVE to see Adrien putting her in her place and telling it like it is. (justice for sabrina tho, queen needs a redemption arc and true friends ASAP)

but most episodes this season have given me lots to think about and affect the plot and the characters. Marinette and Adrien's relationship journey is ADORABLE AND I AM LOVING EVERY SINGLE MINUTE OF IT. The characters are getting more depth and development which is awesome and it makes you see them and their relationships in a whole new way. The ever expanding lore??? Loving it. I honestly love the whole Agrestes drama and i need to know more about it, we are slowly getting there.

so to sum up: i am really liking season 5 and i won't shup up about it. if you want to criticize it go ahead, but as i always say, if you hate everything about a show, perhaps it's time to stop watching it and let people enjoy it in peace

Okay, but this line. This line causes me pain.

Because it's not just the guitar that's broken. It's his worldview, his values, his sense of security. Possibly even a bit of his passion for music. He tried to be the guy who anyone can come to because he gives everyone a second chance, and that chance was taken and crushed. It was turned against him and his friends; someone was trying to use the music he loved to hurt the people he loved. He refused to sell them out to pursue music and overcame the temptation to sell Marinette and Adrien out to Monarch for revenge, but he could get akumatized again.

Luka says that even though he broke his guitar, Bob Roth didn't break him. But in the end, he doesn't feel that it's safe for him to stay in Paris; he has to leave his home and loved ones.

And he's not even the first kid whose life has been uprooted for as long as Monarch is a threat to everyone else. Some day Ladybug and Chat Noir will defeat him, and Ladybug will throw her Lucky Charm and fix things again.

But there are emotional wounds even the magic of the Kwami of creation can't fix. Things that can recover and heal, but still leave scars.

Luka tells Adrien that he too wears different faces for different people. ‘Which Luka is the real one? All of them, I guess.’

Words of wisdom! He’s basically telling Adrien the same thing Plagg told him in Kuro Neko - that Adrien Agreste and Cat Noir are both the ‘real’ him…as are other personae like Cat Blanc.

Similarly, Marinette is both herself and Ladybug. All the heroes are also their secret identities. The akuma victims are also their villain sides in some way. Monarch doesn’t simply make up evil characters. He brings out people’s Shadow sides, the personal aspects they try not to acknowledge.

No one is one thing. We’re complicated creatures. Embrace the chaos.

Luka learned the hard way that even though anyone can change, not everyone wants to. Jagged was willing to sacrifice his rich lifestyle to commit to being a better father, while Bob was not as willing to make similar sacrifices to be a better person/record producer.
